Mayor's Message
Mayor's Monthly Message - APRIL 2026
Spring is bringing plenty of activity to the Township, with events for all ages to enjoy throughout April. The month begins with Little League Opening Day on April 4th, followed by a Blood Drive at the Senior Center on April 6th. Residents can take part in Senior & Family Bingo on April 8th, and celebrate additional Opening Days for Oak Valley Little League and Softball on April 11th. Community members are also encouraged to join the Earth Day Clean-Up on April 18th, attend the Rabies Clinic on April 25th, and finish the month with a Phillies game event at the Senior Center on April 30th.
As we welcome spring and look ahead to summer, it’s also important to stay prepared for extreme weather. Taking time now to review safety plans and emergency preparations is highly recommended.
Economic development continues to grow in Deptford. The Scott Family Honda dealership has recently broken ground, and several new businesses—including Nordstrom Rack, First Watch, and Blinds To Go—are expected to open by mid-summer.
Residents should also be aware that costs are increasing. At the local government level, expenses related to health benefits, public safety, and trash services have risen significantly over the past year.
We appreciate your continued support and involvement in our community. Stay safe, stay informed, and we look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events.
