Mayor's Message
Mayor's Monthly Message - NOVEMBER 2025
November begins the autumn season with fall foliage falling into its full glory. This month we honor our Veterans and celebrate their day on November 11th.
We are proud to announce that the Township received the Economic Development Award from the Southern New Jersey Development Council for our commitment to smart growth, economic revitalization, and sustainable community development. The township’s revitalization of the Deptford Town Center, infrastructure improvements funded by more than $2 million in grants, and clean energy projects including a solar farm on a former landfill and expanded EV infrastructure all underscore its dedication to regional growth and sustainability.
Leaf season is here! Public Works crews have started picking up leaves throughout town. You can view your scheduled route online. Each section of town is scheduled by zones, so check your area for leaf pickup. Please do not rake your leaves in the middle of the street, as this is dangerous and counterproductive for our Public Works crew. Place branches in piles separately, so the vacuum trucks will not get clogged. We thank you for your anticipated cooperation and patience.
Our 4th Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held at Deptford Community Center on November 1st. There will be crafts by local artisans for your holiday shopping and decorations. November 3rd is our Annual Senior Luncheon at Sapphire Grand Caterers. Tickets are available at the Township Clerk’s office.
Santa is coming to Town! Deptford Mall on November 7th. Kicking off with Holiday Parade and Santa’s arrival. Bring the family and remember to shop local during the holiday season. Deptford businesses support our local property tax base and provide over ten thousand local jobs. Let’s support continue to support them.
This Thanksgiving, November 27th, Deptford Township has so much to be grateful for. Toys R Us recently opened in the Mall, soon to follow is Dick’s Outlet at the Grocery Outlet center and at the former Christmas Tree Shopping Center, construction continues and hopefully we will see grand openings for the coming new businesses!
