One of Deptford’s most famous landmarks has
disappeared. “The Tank” at VFW Post 2174. The Tank has rested at
the VFW post on Tacoma Boulevard for as long as anyone can remember.
Thanks to the leadership of Post Commander Kevin McElroy and VFW members, it is
on its way to getting a complete renovation and will return like new.
Special thanks to Riehl’s Towing for a truly unique tow and hauling job.
Deptford Police were onsite to assist in a smooth job. We salute our
soldiers and look forward to the return of our Deptford landmark.
