FEMA Region II is conducting a PrepareAthon for the general public during the next month.Throughout the next few weeks, FEMA will be encouraging individuals and their families to become more involved in disaster preparedness. In order to assist in this, FEMA Region II has developed a series of tabletop discussions for individuals and families in order to self-assess their preparedness.
What FEMA is asking of the individual? FEMA asks for each family to read the six scenarios at their leisure and discuss the follow-up questions. The idea is to discuss the follow-up questions and improve their family plans based on what they talked about.
The six scenarios are:
-
Active Shooter
-
Tornado
-
Wildfire
-
Flooding
-
Excessive Heat
-
Pet Preparedness (for kids)
