People in Transition, located on the campus of Gloucester County College, is offering workshops beginning in April for the community and displaced homemakers All workshops are free of charge unless otherwise noted. To register and to learn the location of the workshops, please call (856) 415-2222.
• "Bereavement" is a support group for grieving adults of all ages. This 8-week session will focus on strategies for coping with feelings of loneliness, frustration, anger and grief. The sessions run every Friday (except April 10) through May 22, from 7:00PM to 8:30PM
• "Money Smart" a three-week education workshop series, is designed to help individuals and families develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to take control of their monetary decisions to achieve financial success. The workshop will run for three consecutive Wednesdays beginning June 3, 10 and 17 from 6:30PM to 8PM Displaced homemakers can attend free of charge, and there is a $10 charge for others.
• "New Stimulus Law American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" is a workshop that will be held April 20, from 10:00AM to 11:30AM and again in the evening from 7:00PM to 8:30PM
• "Women Finish Rich" is a session to improve the quality of your life today by putting your money where your values are. It will be held April 27, from 6:30PM to 8:00PM
