Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, Thursday, January 10, 2019

 


Deptford Township Mayor & Council is hosting the annual celebration in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

 

Students in Grades 1 – 3 are encouraged to design a poster, which they creatively title,

expressing their feelings about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Entries should be on standard size poster board. 

 

Students in Grades 4 – 12 are encouraged to write an essay of no more than 500 words, which they creatively title,

expressing their feelings about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

 

There will be one (1) winner chosen from each participating classroom from Grades 1 - 6,

one winner from each participating classroom from the Middle School

and one (1) winner chosen from each grade level at the High School.

 

Winners will receive awards specially selected for this memorable event and will be invited to share their posters or essays with the community.

 

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Recreation Center, 52 Montague Lane, Deptford.
